Thursday midcut bball sneaker

Sketch-o-the-day...

Thought I'd practice my PS skills so I drew this up to take through
the process.

It's a start...

Almost 3AM but I couldn't stop until I cranked something decent out =)

No what?...

So I've rendered what I can but it's around this point that I get
stuck. I need to add textures, stitch lines and other things but I
just can't find the proper technique!

Working on the PS version of my sketch.

Work over or over working?

Went over some lines with a sharpie to create line weight. Did I over
do it?

Kinda sketchy...

Loose/sloppy and the previous pic didn't do it any justice. Goodness
knows it can use all the help it can get =/

Super sketchy...

I know it's super loose/sloppy but that just goes to show I need to
develop other perspectives.

Markers=shampoo?!

Because they give my drawings a little color and volume =)

I can't seem to get the image right...I guess it's time to tape up a
last and see if I can model it =)

Perspective...

I went over the lines I wanted to keep with blue pen but I'm still not
happy with the shape. Methinks I have a ways to go before this design
becomes plausible.

Step two is to add the main elements of the shoe and try to place them
as close as possible to where they appear on the side view. There are
parts that are off, I know, I know.

Step 1...

I'm drawing a wireframe of sorts to get a proper feel for shape/
proportion and shape of the shoe in a 3/4 perspective.

Drawing up a 3/4 view of my converse idea to flesh it out but it's
off...I'll keep trying though...

Drew my inspiration from the layered armor of the samurai. Small slits
for mesh vents allow breathablitiy.
